About IITS
Instructional & Information Technology Services (IITS) is the team of computing professionals who have been serving the Haverford Community for years, newly reorganized to reflect a collaborative spirit and focus on customer service.
IITS at Haverford provides our community with consistent, sustainable, reliable and service-oriented technology resources in strategic support of the teaching, learning, research and operational success of the College. Our approach taps the common spirits of creativity, innovation, consensus and collaboration to enhance institutional effectiveness.
The old units of Academic Computing, Networking & Systems and Administrative computing have been eliminated and a new structure based on functional areas has been implemented. The four new functional areas, Instructional Technology and Training, Client Services, Core Technologies and Enterprise Systems are now in place.
The primary function of the Client Services group is to support all desktop systems without regard to academic or administrative function. This will include the ProDesk (formerly Help Desk), offices, labs and any other desktop computing function. The Instructional Technology and Training group is to support the use of technology in the classroom, provide end user training, LMS support and media services. The Core Technologies group is to support all systems, servers, networks and telephony. The primary function of the Enterprise Systems group is to support the existing administrative system and work on planning for the new ERP implementation.
