Connecting to the new Haverford Wireless is a fairly easy process. If you are a Guest to campus, please follow the instructions for connecting to Haverford-Guest. If you have a Haverford, Bryn Mawr or Swarthmore College email address, be sure to properly prepare your computer before attempting to connect to Haverford-Secure by following the directives below.
Anti-Virus
Please remove any existing anti-virus software on your computer, restart, and then install Kaspersky Anti-Virus. This is incredibly important. Visit our Software Download page at http://antivirus.haverford.edu to download the Kaspersky installer.
Update Your Computer’s OS.
- If you have a Mac, be sure you have Mac OS 10.5.8 or later. You cannot use the wireless with OS 10.4.
- If you have a PC be sure you have XP, Vista or Windows 7. You cannot use the wireless with Windows 2000 or any server operating system.
- Install important updates. Mac users should run Software Update. PC users should run Windows Update before you arrive.

You can connect to Haverford-Secure wireless by first connecting the HaverfordConnect network. Visit http://iits.haverford.edu/documents/haverford-secure-wireless/ for step-by-step instructions.
Register your Computer
Once you’ve successfully connected to Haverford-Secure, the first website you’ll be taken to is the Registration website. This site allows us to know who owns each computer, in case there’s a problem. Follow the instructions to register your computer.
